Thermal stability is essential for safe and reliable food preparation and serving. This feature ensures that kitchenware and tableware maintains its structural integrity and safety at temperatures up to 150°C, providing a benchmark for high-performance functionality.
The Science of Thermal Stability
In the kitchenware industry, heat resistance at 150°C is the measure of a material's ability to withstand common cooking stresses without deforming. At this temperature, standard plastics can reach their "softening point," leading to warping or the release of chemicals. High-performance materials—such as reinforced polyamides or high-grade silicone—are engineered with stable molecular bonds that resist heat-induced movement. This ensures that handles, lids, and tools remain rigid and chemically inert during boiling, steaming, or high-temperature dishwashing, preventing any migration of substances into food.
Validation through the High Performance Mark
By meeting selected technical benchmarks, your kitchenware and tableware products become eligible for the Intertek High Performance (HP) Mark’s Heat-Resistance (150°C). we apply an in-house method, ITS-M0078. The result must be classification A (no visible change).
This mark serves as a ‘proof of performance’ by validating that your product meets the High-Performance Mark standards. You can display the mark on product tags, brochures, packaging, and across all sales channels to confidently signal that your product's performance claims are verified.
