Effortless maintenance and aesthetic longevity are essential for high-use kitchen environments. This feature ensures that surfaces and fabrics allow for the easy removal of tough stains during standard cleaning, providing a benchmark for high-performance functionality.

The Science of Surface Tension

In the kitchenware and textile industry, stain release performance is the measure of a material’s Surface Energy. Surfaces with high stain release properties are engineered to be either hydrophobic (water-repellent) or oleophobic (oil-repellent). For kitchenware, this is achieved through high-density molecular structures in polymers or specialized "Easy-Clean" glass and ceramic glazes that fill microscopic pores where food particles usually trap. For textiles, it involves a "Soil-Release" finish that allows detergents to penetrate the fabric and "lift" the stain away during a wash cycle, rather than allowing the pigment to bond permanently with the fibers.

Validation through the High Performance Mark

By meeting selected technical benchmarks, your products become eligible for the Intertek High Performance (HP) Mark’s Stain Release.  We use an in-house method, ITS-M0014, staining the product with a range of reagents. There shall be no visible residual stain after rinsing.

This mark serves as a ‘proof of performance’ by validating that your product meets the High-Performance Mark standards. You can display the mark on product tags, brochures, packaging, websites, and in both online and offline stores across multiple channels, confidently signaling to consumers that the performance claims of your products are verified.

Stand out in the kitchenware industry with the Intertek High-Performance Mark. Strengthen your functional claims and gain consumer trust with verification from the world- leading quality assurance organization.
